Job Summary
Responsible for the daily time administration related to Leave Administration for the Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), HCC Non-Family and Medical Leave (Non-FMLA), Leave related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Military, and Workers Compensation. Work closely with the Time and Labor Team to configure leave tables set-up for meeting current and new State and/or federal requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate with the Senior Specialist, Benefits and Wellness regarding time administration related to Leave Administration and act as a liaison for time and leave issues.
Maintain electronic benefits records across diverse platforms including records integration and data reporting.
Input Payroll Status Changes to ensure correct pay records based on leave status.
Handle inquiries on Payroll and Leave Balances and resolve discrepancies.
Verify, calculate, and correct timekeeping and payroll records related to under/overpayments for employees approved for FMLA, Non-FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation.
Manage PeopleSoft Time and Labor configuration tables and data setup, including Absence Management, test all new system setups and troubleshoot issues.
Handle all service-related time and labor requests ensuring compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) and institution policies and regulations.
Monitor interfaces and make process change recommendations, as needed.
Research and analyze timekeeping operational issues. May collaborate with the Talent Technology team to resolve complex system issues.
Develop reports to analyze, audit, and troubleshoot Time and Labor data including resolving configuration-related time exceptions, coordinating resolution of audit discrepancies and resolving discrepancies to ensure timeliness or payroll process.
Coordinate day-to-day operations of Benefits records retention ensuring compliance with HCC policies and procedures.
Maintain the active and inactive records management program within the electronic records information system to include classifying and indexing documents.
Conduct research and analysis of industry trends, employee surveys and workplace best practices to present to Manager Benefits.
Establish standardized departmental filing systems for electronic and paper records.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
- Associate’s degree or equivalent certification plus 4 years of human resources experience may be considered in lieu of required degree
- 4 years’ experience working with Benefits, Payroll and Time & Labor with a large employer (500+ employees) required
- 1 year of Record Retention experience preferred

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
