  • On-Campus Work Study positions usually support departments that designed to improve the welfare of the college. Some of the positions are listed below:

    Financial Aid Assistant- Facilitate the customer service center and provides educational assistance to the general public, especially the economically disadvantages, by providing general information and assistance with the application process and referrals to external sources of funding and social service agencies. Direct internal communications within the Houston Community College System on behalf of students. Additionally, this position will provide secretarial and clerical support for the department as needed.

    Lab Assistant I - Assist in setting up the electronic lab equipment, computer hardware, and computer software that is utilized in the Department.
    Library Assistant I - Responsible for carrying out circulation procedures, both automated and manual, and assisting library users as well as maintaining library files and shelves.

    Registration Assistant - Assist in registration and fee payment for students enrolling at HCCS.
    Tutor I - Responsible for directly tutoring individuals by asking and answering questions and demonstrating examples relating to the subject.
