Testing Associate (Part Time) - Central College Pool Req
SUMMARY
Administers, proctors and oversees various assessment while ensuring adherence to testing protocols and maintaining test security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Enforce and adhere to test vendor policies and procedures in coordination with District Testing Services.
2. Administer a variety of assessments at colleges, including but not limited to Texas Success Initiative (TSIA2), Accuplacer ESL, Accuplacer Advanced Math, GED, and departmental exams for accommodated students.
3. Assist the testing coordinator in executing day-to-day responsibilities.
4. Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of testing services and program offerings.
5. Safeguard the security of test materials and ensure the integrity of each test administration.
6. Accurately input and maintain test data as required.
7. Participate in all training activities.
8. Read and scribe exams as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
Associate degree in Education, Counseling or a related area is required.
EXPERIENCE
2 years directly related testing experience in a post-secondary institution required.
1 year supervisory experience in a testing center preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Eligible for GED testing certification by the state.
2. Basic computer knowledge required.
3. Proficiency with PC and computerized student record system is preferred.
4. Able to work some nights and weekends.
5. Required to perform 2 to 4 full testing sessions under a supervisor before assuming duties.
