We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

The Opportunity
You: You’re a focused, results- and team-oriented systems analyst who thrives on the challenge of planning and executing large projects.

Your mission: As a project leader, we’ll rely on you to oversee the planning, development, troubleshooting, testing and implementation of enhancements to application software systems.

Your work: In this role, you’ll be using application development project management methodologies on all projects, large and small. You’ll formulate logical descriptions of issues, devise solutions and diagram the costs, processes and schedules associated with the solutions you propose. When upgrades are necessary, you’ll evaluate and recommend action on their testing and implementation. Monitoring system interfaces, subsystems and software applications will also be within your scope, as will recommending and providing specifications for requirement gaps, enhancements and workflow.

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or Engineering required. Eight (8) years of directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.


PeopleSoft Applicants: Experience with PeopleSoft version 8 and above online applications for any of the following modules - Finance, HRs, and Student Administration.

Extensive experience with PeopleCode, PeopleTools and SQR & SQL; familiarity with Crystal Reporting, PeopleSoft portal, Oracle, LDAP & Solaris preferred.

Web Focused Applicants: Proficiency in HTML, SQL, XML and Oracle with emphasis on Web related software system design, implementation and support in various genres; Data Wareshousing design, implementation and support experience preferred.

Experience with business productivity applications, applying continuous business process improvement techniques preferred.

Experience in coding and design of web based solutions required.

Experience working in a team environment required.


Off-hour support may be required.

Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and of the techniques used in the design of automated and non-automated systems.

Skills in the use of quantitative methods.

Ability to analyze systems and procedures and to explain abstract concepts terms; plan, coordinate and solve complex problems; schedule, test, install and implements programs, write and revise standards and procedures.

Possess excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Possess excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work with a diverse population.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.

Willingness to work additional hours and maintain a flexible work schedule preferred.
