EDUCATION
Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics with emphasis on Statistical Analysis, or a Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Research or Information Science including studies in Statistics.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years experience in higher education, research, technical writing, survey development, needs assessment, data collection and analysis, or project coordination with emphasis on evaluation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to use SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), SAS or comparable statistical packages and GIS (Geographic Information System) software, such as MapInfo
Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, WordPerfect, Word for Windows
Ability to make effective oral presentations of tables, charts and maps for research results to college, public school, local, municipal, state and federal officials and agencies
Ability to handle deadlines and stress
Familiarity with US Census data and local demographics
Familiarity with a mapping software tool, such as MapInfo
