We are currently seeking a Representative, Talent Engagement to provide front desk, receptionist and administrative support.  The person is someone who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

JOB SUMMARY
Serve as first point of contact for HCC employees and visitors communicating with Talent Engagement.

Responsible for assisting visitors with online application system, providing employees and applicants with requested forms and maintaining records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides information and assistance over the phone, by email, by mailbox response, and /or in-person to other college personnel and external visitors regarding Talent Engagement programs, and functions; making referrals to Talent Engagement units as well as enterprise-wide departments and programs as appropriate.

Maintain reception area and equipment maintenance.

Provide appropriate instruction for the use of the reception equipment as needed.

Provide administrative support to Talent Engagement units and programs on a rotating basis and upon request.

Answer multiple phone calls and transfers calls to appropriate persons in Talent Engagement departments and programs.

Perform emergency response communications assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Handle confidential information (e.g. charges, claims, etc. ).

Support department electronic records management systems using technology and manual processes to enter information and upload files.

Assist with daily operations as needed.

Open, stamp and sort mail for Talent Engagement Department.

Monitor pre-employment tests as requested.

Complete employment verifications process.

Assist prospective candidates with the application process including answering questions and providing instruction on how to upload applicant assets such as resumes, certifications, and transcripts.

Perform project assignments upon request.

Verify Form I-9 documentation.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some college preferred
  • 2 years experience required

Licensing & Certification
 

  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
