EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or computer related field required. Eight (8) years of directly related IT project management or IT infrastructure coordination work experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
EXPERIENCE
With Bachelor’s degree a minimum of five (5) years experience or eight (8) years of experience when substituting for degree in IT project management and/or coordination, including three (3) years experience with IT infrastructure installations in a data networking, telecommunication systems and server/client environments.
Experience in utilizing project management tools to plan, track, monitor, and report project status required.
Experience with industry standard copper and fiber cabling and components, telecommunication room layout and construction environments required.
Experience in creating, archiving and maintaining project documents and drawings required.
Work experience with a higher education institution preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of project management principles out lined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards
Project management training and/or certification preferred
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and in a team environment
CAD training and/or certification preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of BICSI, EIA/TIA, NEC cable infrastructure standards and guidelines
Knowledge of data networking and telephone systems terminology and concepts
Knowledge of file/client server relationships
Good oral and written communication skills
Technical writing skills preferred
