EDUCATION
Associate’s Degree or higher in Web Design or a related discipline, from an accredited institution or international equivalent. Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in the web design/development field (or a related field), and understand how web design and development can support a web curriculum; a record of web portfolio and current web practice and design.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have current knowledge and experience in web applications, which includes latest technologies in HTML/CSS web scripting, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, responsive design, and mobile applications
Must have the expertise, experience and knowledge in web applications that support college teaching and curriculum design based on higher education standards
Possess the ability to work in a diverse work environment
Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city
Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software are required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population
Possess good organizational and planning skills
Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities
Demonstrate ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment
Must be self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others
Proficiency in HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP, responsive web design, content management system (Joomla, Word Press), web authoring applications (Dreamweaver), and web graphics application required. Mobile applications is a plus
