EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or higher in radiography or related field required. Master's degree is preferred. Hold an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) current registration in radiography and be certified by the Texas Medical Board as a medical radiologic technologist. Additional registration by the ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years of direct work experience in general radiography required.
Minimum one (1) year of teaching in a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology accredited radiography program preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possess the ability to work in a diverse work environment
Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city
Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software are required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population
Possess good organizational and planning skills
Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment
Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others
