We are currently seeking a Humanities Instructor who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service. 

The Opportunity

You: We’re looking for an expert instructor like you – with an education in English, Philosophy or the Arts and experience teaching at the college level - to teach our students about the exciting world of the Humanities. 

HCC’s Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies program: Human artistic and intellectual endeavors are interwoven with history, politics, religion and science. By studying across disciplines, students can realize the interconnectedness of societies and build the critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and social responsibility skills necessary for success. 

Your mission: We’ll rely on you to establish Humanities courses following best-practice educational standards, teach students using a variety of effective methodologies, and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning. 

Your work: When you’re not teaching, you might be assisting students with opportunities for work (co-ops, part-time, work-study) and careers; evaluating program curricula and/or practices; advising declared majors; or reviewing textbooks and learning materials.

Minimum of one (1) year college level teaching experience preferred.
