EDUCATION
Associate’s degree in Fashion Design or related field is the minimum requirement. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field is preferred. (Official college transcript showing degree conferred must accompany this application.)
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years professional industry experience required. One (1) year teaching experience at the college level preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possess extensive knowledge about the fashion industry.
Basic knowledge of garment construction, textiles, patternmaking and draping.
Ability to organize and produce fashion events.
Ability to organize and develop curriculum.
Possess the ability to work in a diverse work environment.
Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city.
Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community and student population.
Possess good organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment.
Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others.
