ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other relevant duties may be required.
Demonstrate and apply skill and/or knowledge in effective classroom management techniques.
Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing student achievement and implementing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
Plan, develop, and implement a variety of instructional methods and materials to assist students in learning and mastering course objectives.  Provide appropriate instruction for students with differing learning styles and education al and experiential backgrounds.
Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives. Inform students of their progress in the course in a timely manner.
Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.
Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Professional Development:
Keep pace with developments in classroom management techniques and student behavior.
Learn and apply technologies that support student learning. 
Participate in the evaluation process for self, department, and college.
Be familiar with and adhere to all policies and procedures of HCCS.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of but not limited to the education, experience, knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.


Must have completed at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Accounting and hold a Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required (official transcript(s) conferring degree must accompany the application).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred; the CPA license is required if teaching CPA courses.

Three (3) years of non-teaching experience in accounting are required. 

Two (2) years of teaching experience at the college level preferred.
