EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology or related fields or Associate’s degree plus four (4) years of formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Master’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience required, preferably in instructional design.
Teaching experience in an institution of higher education preferred. Experience in a community college is preferred.
Experience working with Windows and Macintosh operating systems required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Comprehensive knowledge of course management systems (Blackboard or WebCT preferred)
Comprehensive knowledge of instructional tchnology applications: MS Office, Dreamweaver, Lesson Builder, HTML, Captivate and other related applications as necessary.
Knowledge of instructional design theory, principles and practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to acquire, synthesize and inculcate expert professional knowledge
Ability to develop easy to understand curriculum
May be required to demonstrate competencies of various hardware/software skills verified during interview
