Analyst II, Business
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst II is responsible for assigned function business process analysis for functional development and implementation of Information Management Systems (IMS).
(Talent Engagement, Finance, Student Administration).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform comparative analysis of assigned function current procedures and IMS system best practices.
Provide subject matter expertise for successful product implementation, enhancements and/or upgrades.
Participate in IMS assigned-function training in order to assist in the integration and implementation processes.
Review HCCS business process and compares with IMS system to determine functionality gaps, and work with designated HCC personnel to identify appropriate changes in the business processes and/or required software modifications.
Confer with technicians, programmers, and database analysts to run tests, and ensure that business processes are operating correctly.
Develop appropriate test cases necessary to perform validation testing on all required HCC modifications, customizations, fixes, interfaces, and patches.
Conduct or facilitate testing for Quality assurance purposes.
Create, export, and filter information to make it user-friendly.
Write step-by-step instructions, test IMS patches and produces query reports.
Build and maintain table values in assigned IMS.
Analyze and evaluate assigned function’s processes and new requirements to develop and integrate new solutions within assigned IMS.
Provide direction to IT technical staff for programming and system needs.
Handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
General Office. QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management or a relevant field
- 4 years directly-related work experience may be substituted in lieu of required degree
- 5 years’ experience in the use of personal computers (including client-servers/ Web) for business (functional) applications, including experience in the assigned business function required; including 1 year of Business Analyst experience
- Experience in higher education institution or community college environment, facilitating training classes and UPK system in assigned function, or HCC experience preferred
